Low Fat Dessicated Coconut

Desiccated coconut or dry grated coconut is fresh and ripe coconut flesh that has been peeled, cleaned, grated, ground, dried, sifted and processed hygienically. Raw materials that are rich in dietary fiber and important minerals such as manganese, copper, and selenium. Contains no cholesterol or trans fatty acids.

Color:  Low Fat Dessicated Coconut (LFDC) has a white color and is  free from yellowing or any other discoloration. 

Aroma:  LFDC has a distinctively sweet and light coconut aroma, free from any foreign odors.

Composition: Coconut Meat  

Storing Conditions: The product must be kept at a temperature 10-15,5°C and  a       relative humidity of 50-60%, stored in an odor-free area and kept away from walls. Avoid storage in areas with high humidity.

Shelf life: 12 months after the date of production under storage conditions in 
accordance with the recommended storage.  

Benefits of Low Fat Dessicated Coconut: 

High Quality: Good quality LFDC is white, with no yellow spots, black spots and other discoloration. Good quality LFDC has a sweet coconut aroma, is free from rancidity and is uniform in size.

Manganese Content: One ounce (28.3495 grams) of LFDC contains 0.778 mg of 
manganese. This amount fulfills almost 38% of the daily manganese requirement 
recommended by the Indonesian Ministry of Health. Manganese plays a role in energy metabolism and is required for the synthesis of blood clotting proteins, bone tissue, hormones and enzymes. Manganese also increases calcium absorption and helps regulate blood sugar levels.
 
Fiber Content: One ounce (28.3495 grams) of LFDC contains 5 grams of fiber, 
which is equivalent to 17% of the daily fiber requirement. A high intake of dietary fiber from foods such as coconut can help prevent stroke, high blood pressure, heart 
diseases, obesity, high cholesterol, diabetes and digestive disorders such as 
hemorrhoids, constipation, and colon cancer.

Selenium Content: One ounce (28.3495 grams) of LFDC contains 5.2 mcg of selenium, equivalent to 17.3% of the daily requirement for selenium. The body uses selenium to produce enzymes that support thyroid function and the immune system, preventing DNA and tissue damage from free radicals. A diet rich in selenium foods can help lower the risk of cancer, infections, heart disease, and rheumatoid arthritis. It can also prevent infertility in men.
